When I was a kid, I remember I used to order hot tea whenever my mom did. I was never a huge fan of cold teas, but once I got into college I discovered how much I really liked tea.
As much as I love my tea, I don’t know much about it and the different types. Lately I’ve been broadening my knowledge beyond green and black, so I decided to try out thisCelestial Seasonings Herbal Tea Sampler.
The tea bags in this set are bigger than your standard tea bag. They also have no string attached to them, so keep that in mind. One tea bag is enough for about two teapots, give or take.

Lemon Zinger (1/5)
When I bought the sampler, I had a sore throat so my first thought was to try the Lemon Zinger tea. It was a bit strong for my liking, and after letting it steep for a couple of minutes, my cup of tea was a shocking deep red. I didn’t expect such a deep color for a lemon tea. I was hoping for a light tea that would soothe my throat. Instead, I got a very bold tea with a strong fruity and floral taste and smell. I think the mix of the two tastes was just too much for me. After reading the package, I realized it contained hibiscus, rosehips, roasted chicory, orange peels, lemongrass and lemons. I tried to down it despite the taste for the sake of my throat, but I just couldn’t. It was too strong. I tried pouring out half the cup and replacing it with more water to dilute the flavor, but it was still too much. In the end, I dumped it down the sink.
Honey Vanilla Chamomile (5/5)
This one may be my favorite out of the entire box. It was smooth, sweet and subtle. It’s a good stand alone tea, but was great with added honey and even a bit of milk. Personally, I enjoyed drinking this most in the early evenings. When it comes to herbal teas, I tend to like lighter flavors like these. This tea contains chamomile, orange pee, honey flavor, licorice, roasted chicory and lemongrass. It’s very relaxing to drink and smells delicious. I actually finished this tea off first. I went to the grocery to try and buy some more, but they were actually completely out!
Chamomile (4/5 )
This tea wasn't quite as good as the Honey Vanilla Chamomile, but still good. The only ingredient in this is chamomile. The flavor difference between this and the Honey Vanilla Chamomile was subtle, but I still noticed it. It's not as sweet as the previous mentioned tea for obvious reasons. With a little bit of honey it was still great though. I took a to-go mug with me of it to school for a late night work session.

Sleepytime (5/5)
I was also a big fan of the Sleepytime tea. It's in running for first with the Honey Vanilla Chamomile. I enjoy drinking this before I go to bed, of course. Despite it’s name, I didn’t think it was going to do much to get me to sleep, but my body and mind felt so relaxed when I drank this. It works really well! It actually put me and Jon fast to sleep and when I woke up the next day (really early, I might add) I felt very refreshed. It’s got a smooth, minty smell to it and overall the scent makes me feel relaxed and sleepy. For those wondering this tea contains chamomile, spearmint, lemongrass, tilia flowers, blackberry leaves, orange blossoms, hawthorn and rosebuds. I've already repurchased a full box of this! I love it!
Peppermint (2/5)
Not a big fan of this tea and probably won’t be purchasing it again. The only ingredient in it is peppermint so all it tastes like is minty hot water. It’s not very flavorful or tasty, however it did do a good job and suppressing my cough and opening up my airways.
