Since my last post was a little heavy, I thought I'd do something lighter today. :) As you can tell from the title, these three ladies have clothes that I really admire. Basically, if I could dress like them every day, I would. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to overhaul my entire wardrobe. So. Sometimes I dress like them haha.
1) Zooey Deschanel
I love Zooey Deschanel's style on and off New Girl, but I watch New Girl a lot, so my love goes to anything that she wears on the show. I prefer more a more conservative style of dress, so I guess her cutesie, teacher look appeals to me. I also love cardigans and she wears those a lot! Maybe it's the fact that I can easily identify with her character on the show (I'm just really clumsy and awkward and different sometimes) that makes me want to dress like her?? We do have similar glasses. And until recently, I ALWAYS had bangs (I really don't like my forehead. But I'm trying to get over my insecurities, so I'm forcing myself to get over it). Also, I like her style a lot because I spend a lot of time in a professional environment and therefore need to dress more like a cutesie teacher instead of an inappropriate student.
2) Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande! I adore her. I'll admit, she was the reason why I wanted red hair. Then, when she started wearing bows all the time, and adapted the style of high-waisted skater skirts and long curls, I just couldn't resist. I've been obsessed with bows since I was 4 and I had a giant red bow with a matching velvet dress. Ariana Grande is literally the reason why I was able to break free from my usual T-Shirt and Jeans look and start wearing skirts and dresses. And shorts. This past summer, I wore pants all of two times. It was shorts, skirts and dresses all summer. I was inspired by her style, so I forced myself to get out of my comfort zone and dress more girly. And I love it!
3) New Rachel Berry
(Source)
Jon would totally hate on me for putting her in this post. He absolutely hates the character Rachel Berry. (He gets very passionate about his anger towards fictional characters. Others on the list include Henry and Mary Margaret from OUAT and Rose from Doctor Who). I wasn't too big of a fan of her old look but I am absolutely loving the new look! Again, skirts and shorts but in a classy way!
So, in conclusion (lol)
It took me a while to find myself and find my fashion sense. I would say, I only started being fashionable in the past year. Hah. I grew up in Hawaii, where everyone is in shorts and tank tops all day, every day, and I don't mean cute shorts like these. I mean beach shorts! So, it took me a while to realize that there were clothes out there that weren't jeans but still classy and not too revealing. My previous problem when going out in public in certain outfits was that I felt so NAKED!! Eek.

Today is awesome because I got a new sweater! Hahaha I know that's a dumb reason for today to be awesome, but I'm so excited about it. It was only $9 too! It's red. That's it. It's not even that special and I'm surprised I bought it because I literally have one other thing in my closet that's red. My school's main color is red and people probably think I have no school spirit when in reality and I just don't like wearing the color red. Today is also awesome because I leave for Phoenix tomorrow to go hang out with my sister for Thanksgiving! AH! I'm so excited!! We've got a lot planned, and I'm going to get a lot of footage and awesome photos out of this holiday. ^__^
