I've used various different red hair dyes in the past, but because of a summer catastrophe (I thought I wanted to go back to black) I've been using a more intense red. If you want a less-intense red or are a n00b at hair dye, I suggest trying the Garnier Nutrisse box dye in R3 Light Intense Auburn
YOU WILL NEED:
-1 Box of L'Oreal HiColor HiLights in Magenta
-1 1.4 fl oz Bottle of 30 Volume Creme Developer
-1 mixing bowl
-1 Dye brush
-1 pair of gloves
-1 Packet of Ion Repair Solutions Effective Care Treatment
-1 Box of L'Oreal HiColor HiLights in Magenta

-1 mixing bowl
-1 Dye brush
-1 pair of gloves
-1 Packet of Ion Repair Solutions Effective Care Treatment
Directions:
1. Squeeze the entire tube of L'Oreal HiColor HiLights into the mixing bowl.
2. Add half the bottle of 30 Volume Creme Developer (0.7 oz)

3. Using your dye brush, mix until it turns into a smooth liquid with no lumps.
4. With gloved hands, apply the dye to your hair with a dye brush. Start from the ends of your hair and work your way up to your roots. The heat from your scalp will develop the color more rapidly in your roots, so you want to do those last.
5. (Optional) Wrap your hair in plastic using either saran wrap or a plastic grocery bag. This time, I didn't because my hair is already pretty susceptible to the red.
6. Wait 45 mins to an hour.
7. Get in the shower and rinse your hair clean!
8. Use packet of Ion treatment as conditioner, leaving it in your hair for 5+ mins before rinsing.

That should be it! Red hair definitely takes a LOT of care but I think it's worth it! I left my dye in for a LITTLE too long this time around (I think I did about an hour and a half because I was busy around the house) so my roots are insanely bright. But it's not that extreme. I like it, and I know it'll fade anyways. :)
The more often you use something like this, the less time you need to leave it on your hair so just keep that in mind! Otherwise you'll end up crayon red! (But if that's what you want, go for it!)

Today is awesome because my car is fixed! It actually got fixed yesterday (basically the exhaust pipe got ripped off) but I'm just so happy it's fixed. Also I woke up in an insanely good mood today. It was like those moments in the movies where the person wakes up in bed looking so relaxed and happy. Haha I don't know why.
