I love cooking. I love eating. I love food. I'm not one of those typical college kid or 20-something-year-old who doesn't know how to cook anything aside from toast. I eat a home cooked meal almost every night for dinner, and 98% of the time it includes rice. I feel like a lot of people who are new at cooking are scared of it or think that it's hard, but it really isn't! Cooking is really easy!! There's so much room for creativity!
My favorite thing to cook is a stew or a curry. They're perfect with rice and are just such a good, hearty meal without tons of effort. This is my first time posting a "recipe." Usually, I just post a picture of what I made and leave it at that. I'd like to note that I don't really do measurements for my cooking. It's always just eyeballing it. Cooking shouldn't be about measurements!
Ingredients:
-Carrots
-Onions
-Potatoes (optional)
-Garlic
-Stew Beef
-Golden Curry Sauce Mix (3.5 oz box)
-Oil
-Water
Directions
1. Chop your onions and carrots. How much you want in your curry is up to you. Personally, I like lots! I usually add potatoes as well, but I didn't have any on hand.

2. In a large pot, brown your crushed garlic clove(s) and beef in oil.
3. Once browned, add enough water to cover all the beef and bring it to a boil
4. Add your carrots, onions and potatoes, and let simmer until 90 percent cooked.

5. Start adding the curry sauce mix blocks, one by one. Let each one melt completely, stirring frequently, before adding another. You'll be adding the entire box, so do it slowly to make sure it doesn't clump up on any of the meat or veggies.
6. Simmer and let thicken
7. Serve with rice!

Personally, I like my curry sauce pretty thick, but sometimes I add too much water and am just too lazy to let it thicken up. (Hey, I get hungry!) As long as it tastes good, right?
Hope you guys enjoy! And good luck!
