If it's not already obvious (OLLIVANDER-MO?!) I'm a HUGE Harry Potter nerd. You know how TV shows sometimes portray nerds as Trekkies who know every detail about the show and compare real situations to things that happened in Star Trek? Think that, but with Harry Potter instead.
Before Pottermore came out, I was a self-proclaimed Hufflepuff. It was my house of choice and I was damn proud! After taking the Pottermore quiz multiple times and being sorted into Ravenclaw all times, I now see that I've always been a Ravenclaw. Still, there are still so many things I admire about Hufflepuff!
Hufflepuff is usually seen as the least desirable house but I willing chose it as my own. As I write this, my old Hufflepuff tie and Prefect badge hang on my lamp next to me. Hufflepuff never gets any credit, and it's completely unfair! I still feel a bit of attachment and loyalty to this house and I think that everyone need to stop picking on the poor 'Puffs.

Loyalty
Most people associate Gryffindor (mostly because of the lion) with loyalty. BUZZZZ. Wrong! Gryffindor is the house of bravery and chivalry, but not loyalty. Hufflepuffs are the truest, most loyal people. Hufflepuffs are like a bunch of Sailor Moons. They'll never turn their backs on their friends, they're always there to defend, they're the ones on whom you can depend, they are the ones...in...Hufflepuff..?
Fun fact: During the final battle at Hogwarts nearly all Hufflepuffs stayed to defend their beloved school. More Hufflepuffs stayed than Ravenclaws or Slytherins. In order, it was Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws and Slytherins who had the most student participation in the battle.

Tolerance
This is another trait of Hufflepuff that I greatly admire. We should all be more tolerant. We should all be more accepting of others. Open mind, open heart. Some people are just so closed-minded and not accepting of others, but being a Hufflepuff reminded me that there are still good people in the world. Being a Hufflepuff was kind of a reassurance that I was one of those people I guess. I may not claim Hufflepuff anymore, but I still have a bit of 'puff left in me. It creates a genuine fury in me when people make ignorant, racist and/or intolerant comments about other people. Like the comments made on the Coca-Cola Super Bowl commercial. Sorry. Still trying to simmer down about that.
Bad-ass Badgers
The mascot for this house is a badger. Hello? Honey Badger? Honey badger don't give a s#*t. Honey badger don't care. Really though, badgers can easily defeat snakes. They eat them! Even poisonous ones! In my head all I can imagine are Hufflepuffs eating Slytherins. Win in my eyes. Slytherins think they're so bad…psh.
What do you think of Hufflepuff? And what house do you affiliate yourself with, if any??
