AKA -- How I'm barely scraping by.
It's been around three weeks since I've last posted anything of real substance to my blogs or YouTube channels, but now that I feel I've gotten somewhat settled, I think it's time to change all that.
I kind of failed the last part of SEDA because I was on vacation mode once I stepped foot in Washington, then once I got back I had to jump straight into work, school and interning once again.
This past weekend, Jon and I went to N9NE FEST which is basically a college music festival/rave. Typically, it's not my scene, but it was my anniversary present to Jon and as cheesy as it sounds, as long as I'm with him, I'm okay. You can't see it in the picture, but we even did the matchy-matchy couple thing. My skirt and make-up coordinated with his shirt. Haha, yeah, we went there. My weeks have been long and busy, so on the weekends I try to do something fun or relaxing while i have the chance. This is partially why I haven't been online as much. A girl has to de-stress though, right? Next weekend Jon and I will also be heading up to Phoenix to go see Zedd in concert with my sister and her friends up there. Should be another weekend of fun to unwind from the crazy semester so far.

Jon's health has been better, which is a plus and makes me excited for all the things we can plan for the future. Like Tucson Meet Yourself--I can't WAIT for Tucson Meet Yourself! Who can pass up all the food?
School has been easy, but I haven't really started on shooting my packages and working on my reel yet so I can't make a final judgement. Interning has been extremely fun, but I hit my first bump in the road today while reporting out on the field. In Tucson's 100 degree weather, being outside for long periods of time really took its toll on me. I nearly had myself a heat stroke, but good news is in the end I was fine. Mostly I was just embarrassed because I was working hard on keeping my composure and being professional. I'm not trying to be the damsel in distress when I'm out on a shoot trying to make a name for myself in this business. All I can really do though is learn from this, apologize and put it behind me. Okay Tucson, I get it. You like to be REALLY hot. Can you cool down a little bit though before you kill someone? I'm quite upset about the situation, but I'm trying not to think about it because there's nothing I can do. I know that my sources and producer understand that it was more of a health situation, but I still can't help but feel like such a rookie who made a huge rookie move. Once again though, this reinforces my preference for a producing position over a reporting position.

Lessons Learned:
- Hydrate (Why did I not bring my waterbottle today?)
- Snacks (Of course I also forgot my snacks today!)
- Umbrella (Because shade in Tucson is important)
- Just take care of yourself. Because damn, Lets not look like a fool again. Please.
